End Of Summer Construction Update š ļøāļø

As summer winds down and we get ready to welcome students back, we wanted to share all the exciting progress thatās been made at the Rockford Freshman CenterĀ over the past few months! Our construction crews have been hard at work making big upgrades all across the building ā from HVAC to hallways and everything in between.
Hereās a peek at whatās been happening behind the scenes:









šØ Airflow & Mechanical Upgrades
Demoed old ductwork and air handler room to make space for more efficient systems
Installed a brand new unit ventilator
Mounted VFDsĀ (variable frequency drives) and a new control panel
Ran new pipingĀ throughout the building for improved airflow
Added new beamsĀ to support the upgraded air handler
Started building a temporary wallĀ for Phase 3 and began work on the new corridor
š Safety & Electrical Improvements
Replaced and rewired the entire fire alarm system
Ceiling and wiring upgrades are happening in the hallways
š§½ Interior Refresh
Lockers cleaned and readyĀ for the school year
Gave the computer lab ceilingĀ a facelift
Fresh paint on demoed ductwork
Gave bathroomsĀ across the building much-needed facelifts
š½ļø Cafeteria Reno
Added easy access to two bathrooms for students.
Installed brand new flooring throughout the café
šæ Outside the Building
Applied hydro mulchĀ to refresh the grass
Weāre resurfacing lots at North Middle, the Freshman Center, and the High Schoolāabout 280,000 sq. ft. total (thatās 5 football fields!).
Weāre so excited for everyone to see the updates in person. These improvements are all about creating a better, safer, and more comfortable learning environment ā and thereās still more to come as we move through the next phases!
