Athletic Improvements: Progress Photos
We caught up with the construction crews at Rockford High School's athletic stadium. While the cold weather has added an additional challenge of working outside, our construction team is thankful to have made tremendous progress during the unseasonably warmer months of December and January. (A little snow won't slow us down!)
Progress continues on the restroom building. Once completed, this space will feature two family-style restrooms, 22 additional stalls in the women's restroom, and 15 stalls in the men's restroom.
The new entrance canopy is complete, and will be the focal point for the new grand entrance and ticket booth. Once completed, the space will feature an impressive 12' tall ram sculpture.
This space increase concession capabilities with more storage and serving space. The photo below shows three of the four serving windows. There will also be a covered outdoor grilling space.
The plaza viewing area is complete with table seating. It overlooks the field from the north end zone.
New Team Building
The photo below shows the beginning of the new team building for visiting and home teams, complete with training rooms. This will become the backdrop/foundation for the new 18' X 32' video scoreboard.
New Visitor Press Box
This new press box features windows that provide a view of both athletic fields. There is also new stadium, lighting at the upper field.
