A new school year brings exciting school construction updates!

Edgerton Trails Elementary

The much-awaited grand opening of the new Edgerton Trails Elementary took place on August 15, 2024. The corridors of the 85,000-square-foot facility buzzed with the energy of new students, staff, and community members alike. The accompanying photos guide you on a tour of the school, beginning with the main entrance and front office, and pausing at the media center, where Edgerton Trails' esteemed principal, Shannon Ouellete is seen eagerly preparing for the upcoming year.



Transportation Building

The buses are washed, waxed, and prepped for the new school year, thanks to the newly renovated transportation building. This modern facility features multiple refueling stations, six bus bays, three lifts, an automatic bus wash, and 3rd party testing room.



Roguewood Elementary

As the children transition from summertime play to school play, this newly built gymnasium could quite possibly be the home of Rockford's very own basketball star! The 3,000 sq ft gymnasium includes special features motorized window shades. The newly renovated kitchen and serving area will now allow for the previous gymnasium to serve as a dedicated cafeteria.




Rockford High School Tennis Courts

Rockford has been served with 12 new tennis courts equipped with spectator seating and a shaded structure. The parking area situated between the tennis courts and the high school's weight room has expanded to include an additional 18 parking spaces.




North Rockford Middle School

North Rockford Middle School is all set for the 2024 academic year. The renovations include 12 classrooms around the courtyard, a significant addition of a 12-room complex spanning 15,845 square feet, and the much-anticipated removal of the portable classroom.


Moreover, the brand new 2,462 square foot orchestra room, coupled with the upgraded band room, is sure to have students proudly showcasing their musical talents.
