2019 Bond Project Overview

Bond Summary

This $174 million bond project was passed by Rockford community voters in 2019 to accommodate growth throughout the district. The focus was to create collaborative and innovative learning spaces for their district of almost 8,000 students.


The projects will be done in three phases, over the course of the next 10 years.


Three Separate Phases

Phase One: Track replacement at North Rockford Middle School, a new elementary, roof renovations at Meadow Ridge Elementary security enhancements buses, improvements to the High School Athletics, and additions and renovations at Rougewood and Crestwood Elementary.


Phase Two: High School pool addition, Transportation Facility additions, Belmont, Cannonsburg, Lakes and Parkside Elementary renovations, and East Rockford Middle School track replacement and renovations.


Phase Three: New construction, band room, and parking lot improvements at North Rockford Middle School, Freshman Center renovations, Creative Teaching and Learning addition, and the replacement of tennis courts at the High School. Along with various MEP, Media Center, and CTE upgrades.
